Recipe: Maeve Wine’s Steak Tartare

With a European-inspired menu head chef Jesse Stevens has created a flavour-packed steak tartare share plate. Follow along with the video below to perfect this dish at home.
- 55g flank steak
- 1 tbsp chopped shallots
- 1/2 tbsp chopped parsley
- 1/2 tbsp chopped chives
- 1/2 tbsp finely diced cornichons
- 1/2 tbsp Lilliput capers
- 1 tsp grainy mustard
- 1 pinch cracked black pepper
- 2 pinch Maldon sea salt
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Gather all ingredients.
Finely dice the steak, shallots, cornichons, and herbs.
Mix everything in a small bowl.
Serve with horseradish creme and potato crisps.
