Making your beef patties at home is easy. Use this recipe to craft your own beef patties, and mix and match burger ingredients to make your new favourite burger.

Ingredients
- 500g lean beef mince
- 1 Egg
- Olive oil
- Cheddar cheese slices
- Salt & freshly ground black pepper
- 1 Iceberg lettuce
- 2 Tomatos
- Pickles
- Red onion, sliced
- Tomato sauce and mustard
Method
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, break apart the beef mince. Add an egg to the mixture and some salt and pepper and bind well.
Step 2
Using your hands, seperate the mixture into four flattened balls.
Step 3
Heat a fry pan over medium to high heat and add some olive oil.
Step 4
Add the mince balls to the fry pan and use a spatula to flatten into patties. Be careful not to break the patties.
Step 5
Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side.
Step 6
Toast your bun using the oven grill or your toaster, and assemble your burger with 1-2 lettuce leaves, 2 slices of tomato, 2-3 slices of onion, beef patty, cheese, sliced pickles, and some tomato sauce and mustard.
