We hit the streets to find out everything that needs to be on the perfect burger. From cheeses to meats, to sauces and extras, it was a hearty debate where everyone had an opinion.

Here’s the result.

Ingredients

  • Brioche bun
  • Pre-made beef patty like the Diamantina Wagyu Beef Patty (Wagyu Mince, Grass-Fed Mince)
  • Truffle aioli
  • Barbecue sauce
  • Lettuce
  • Beetroot
  • Tasty cheese
  • Pickled gherkin

Method

Step 1

Prepare your Brioche bun by lightly toasting in the grill or on a hot plate.

Step 2

Add the truffle aioli to the bottom piece of the bun.

Step 3

Grill your beef patty, turning once, until it has browned on the outside. Avoid overcooking – you want to make sure it’s still a little pink in the middle. Add it to the bun.

Step 4

Place the cheese on top of the patty, allowing it to melt onto the beef.

Step 5

Add your beetroot on top of the cheese, and then the lettuce.

Step 6

Finish by spreading some barbecue sauce across the top bun piece, and adding the top of the bun to the burger. Garnish with a pickle.
